Community Board Advertising Agreement

Vermont Discovery Co LLC · Female-owned Vermont small business

This Community Board Advertising Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Vermont Discovery Co LLC, doing business as 802 Boards (“we,” “us,” or “802 Boards”), and the advertising business purchasing a spot (“Advertiser”). The board, location, spot number, annual fee, posting date, and term end date shown during purchase and on the selected board are part of this Agreement.

1. What you’re buying

You are purchasing one advertising spot—one of six spots—on a community board displayed inside a high-traffic local business for a term of one year. The board also appears on 802boards.com.

2. Fee and payment

The annual fee for your spot is paid in full at the time of purchase by card through our secure checkout. Your spot is reserved once payment is received and confirmed.

3. Term

Your one-year term begins on the posting date—the date the board is physically installed and displayed—not the date you pay. This gives you a full twelve months of display time; any time between your payment and the board going up is on us.

4. Your artwork and approval

After you pay, you’ll submit your ad artwork and details. You give 802 Boards permission to print and display your ad on the board and to show the board, including your ad, on 802boards.com and in related promotion. We review and approve all artwork before printing and may request adjustments to artwork that will not print well or decline content that is unlawful, misleading, or inappropriate for a family-friendly local setting.

5. Your promises about your ad

You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything in your ad, including names, logos, images, and claims, and that your ad is truthful and complies with the law. You are responsible for your ad content and for any claim arising from it, and you agree to cover 802 Boards for any loss caused by content you provided.

6. If the host location closes

If the host location closes or removes the board during your term, we will relocate your ad to another comparable board in the area at no additional cost. If we cannot relocate your ad within 30 days, we will refund the unused portion of your term: your annual fee divided by 12, multiplied by the number of full months remaining. Relocation is our standard remedy; a refund applies only when relocation is not possible.

7. Renewals and reminders

Your term does not renew automatically, and your card is never charged again without your action. A renewal takes effect, and payment is due, only at the end of your current term. We will email a reminder one month before and again one week before your term ends, inviting you to renew and send any changes to your ad. A new board is printed each year, so renewing keeps your spot on the new board with your latest details.

8. Changes to your ad

During your term, you may update your headline and contact details. We’ll reflect changes on the next scheduled reprint of that board.

9. What we do and don’t promise

A community board is a printed advertising placement. We do not guarantee any specific number of views, leads, sales, or results. Our total responsibility under this Agreement is limited to relocating your ad or issuing a prorated refund as described above. We are not responsible for indirect or lost-profit losses.

10. Independent parties

This Agreement does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship. Each party is independent.

11. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Vermont.

12. Entire agreement

This is the entire agreement between you and 802 Boards regarding your ad spot and replaces prior discussions. Any changes must be in writing and agreed by both parties.

13. Agreement acceptance

By checking “I agree” during online checkout, the Advertiser accepts this Agreement. That electronic acceptance has the same effect as a signature.

Privacy and official contact

We collect only the information needed to manage your placement, payment, artwork, communication, and renewal. We do not sell or rent advertiser information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the placement and process payment, or when required by law. Payment card details are handled by our secure payment processor and are not stored by 802 Boards.

To reach us, use the Contact Us form on this site. We will never ask you to send card information by email.
